the noon of sun and sky

I couldn't help but feel a little more melancholic/romantic these past few days. A friend of mine (who lives in LA) told me that he's been accepted in this art school in NY.

-->and that news (though i'm very happy for him) triggered several synaptic responses--but it's mostly romantic notions yet again.

I've been reading Los Detectives Salvajes for more than a week now (i wish i could just let time stop and read it till the end), and it says a lot about you know...soul searching. Traveling. Wandering. --but in a really down and out way--no money, no food, stealing books, dealing drugs that kind of thing--basically its a life lived for the day--cause tomorrow you ain't have any idea what's going to happen to you. I guess if you're living comfortably you easily fall into the trap of getting ahead of yourself...anyways...

so it got me thinking, man, I want to travel too and wander (yet again) but I'm only hindered by all the risks involved... i mean its better if I had enough money or something... finish grad school first...worries, worries

but in the book--Arturo Belano--i think is right--when he said na, after you spend your time saving for the "future" travels ur gonna take...you are not young anymore.

and in a sense yun naman yung point right? you gotta do it while your young--when it still matters

and it dawned on me... there are two ways kasi to wander, first is affluence / second: hungry young poet.

and at the rate things are going...option two is the most likely for me.

hayyy all this ties that bind.

it would be easier i guess if you're an orphan or something.

but,its different kasi, i mean i can leave w/ a plane ticket one way--anywhere...but i'm gonna cave soon enough, i'll miss my home, my family, heck even my cats.

--> but as i am typing i realize na i am also taking a big risk too, albeit a passive one...i'm taking a risk in believing that things could turn 180 just like that *snaps fingers.

our could i do both, half and half?

yung lang naman yung naisip ko nitong umaga

was just inspired to blog since i tried something fairly new, i was reading Bolaño while walking/commuting to the office this morning. and as i reached the campus with the endless blue sky, with the sun's warmth mingling with the cold air, and the brilliance bathing the pages of Bolaño's book i am reading...i really felt good

it's as if for a few minutes all of life was only beauty and literature, or maybe I was just getting a bit high since reading while ur moving makes one a little light headed.

hehehe
