for four hours i settled in a corner of SBC high street to finish Bolaños novel--the final 150 pages of it. i savored every leaf slowly and today i thought that it would be a disservice to the spirit of the visceral realists if i let my reading drag on till 2010.
i love how life imitates art...
the last few pages talks about their travails in the sonora desert...and guess what this SBC branch is freakin hot, the aircon is busted i guess so the place is ventilated by a lone desk fan and the midnight air--feels like im in cafe quito or something hehehe!
im using up my free 30 mins of web access (they give you that for a plus 250 tab.) and i decided to just simply mark this occasion.
it's a good thing that Boni High Street is very much alive even at night. cause i feel so melancholy.
but you know what, the sinking feeling is there, but somehow, i'm sure that i'll be ok.
if you ask if its because of Bolaños novel...yeah.
LOL
this is what i live for--moments like this...
that make me believe that literature still matters
man i really must be losing mind.
the last line of the novel reads...
"what's outside the window?"
well i don't know, let me take a look
