Bach on Labor Day

hindi naman ako nagkulang.
i've talked about some of the instances where in i was moved to tears for some weird reason on this blog...sure i could shed a tear for something profound/moving. How else can we appreciate a "real thing of beauty"? these kinds of things--we should live for, and savor the brief intervals when life affords us to experience them.

*so it happened to me once again, this hot afternoon, with my head tethered to my pair of headphones while youtubing Bach and (re)discovering his "6 Suites for the Unaccompanied Cello" with the great Mischa Maisky playing them. as i listened to him slicing the famous Cello Suite No.1--Prelude--i found myself

lying on the ground with two bullet wounds on my chest, slipping away, while my beautiful muse holds me, weeps for me. and as i cough up blood i surrender and stare up to behold an azure sky while feeling the sun's warmth on my face
