After hearing John Mullan talk about A.S. Byatt's "Possession"
I've been overcome with such fierce curiosity for the book.
I've never read a novel of hers only a couple of stories from "The Djinn in the Nightingale's Eye".
Yeah, yeah, I saw the movie too--the one with Paltrow and Eckhart--but still am just so curious it's insatiable! She quotes Derrida, swears by Murdoch--Byatt is my kinda writer. I love to read all the "twaddle". It has gotten to a point where in I am willing to leave the office today just to check out the second hand booksellers sa UP! LOL (I was supposed to buy it yesterday sa Zeitgeist but they have the Movie Tie-In cover, Yuck) It is insatiable. The last time I was like this was for Rivka Galchen's "Atmospheric Disturbances"--which sadly, is now gathering dust on my shelf--have so much reading backlog!.
And I know it's stupid. I've gotta lotta things to do--like finalizing my topic proposals and problematique, and yess, work, fitness (?)...life.
So many books so little time.
The bane and the boon.
