Skits

Tiring Friday.

But it was all good--my class did presentations on the categories of Art
most of them were ingenious actually, really.

May favorite was the sarswela PoMo with matching audiovisual presentation

I remember how I hated it when my teacher assigned us to do skits in school--but this afternoon it reminded me of how fun and entertaining it can be

Walked around Recto after went to Corona to buy a couple of pens--
still can't bring myself to buy the 2nd-hand Lamy 2000s though the refills are hard to find and i think they use proprietary cartridges, they're ballpens I must make clear (I wish they sold second hand Lamy FPs!) and most of them have hairline cracks already, are they worth it?

then went inside this 2nd hand bookshop and got a bargain on Filipiniana books!

1. Banyaga by Charlson Ong (150.00 pesos)
2. Without Seeing the Dawn by Stevan Javellana (150.00 pesos)
3. Desaparesidos ni Lualhati Bautista (100.00 pesos)

:-)

Javellan book is hard to find I must say, and it has blurbs by not one, but three canonical figures in Philippine literature: Carlos Bulosan, Francisco Arcellana and Jose Garcia Villa.

Must be good?

Started reading Bautista's novel on the train home--and I noticed something--I've theorized (with my naive mind) that PoMo the in Tagalog novels is rarity, but the first chapter of "Desaparesidos" reminded me of one thing--"the waning of the affect"

-->It's a good friday
