Saw it just now.
Skeptical with all the hype on facebook and my general--well iffiness about the only Aronofsky film I saw "The Fountain". But this is a gem. I loved it.
After all the vaginal touching and skin reaping, it all holds up to that wonderful finale at the end. I think the high concept/complexity really works--the duality of it all, real-unreal, black-white--
I like how it is also a commentary on the craft, of art. How it consumes you, makes you half-mad, half-dead and how, really, the best artists are
and my favorite part--it's all in her head.
not really new but on this one it was really played nicely.
