I caught my sister watching the Constant Gardener, alone, last night. It was unexpected since she doesn't like "those" kind of films, meaning she's not fond of serious/depressing stuff. Naturally, I joined her till the end halfway through...
After the film I ranted...about what a stupid reason it is to deny a film an audience just because it's depressing. Such thinking would hinder oneself of experiencing the whole spectrum of human existence.
She said, "I'll watch (a film) when I feel like it."
Then I forced her to see "The Shawshank Redemption"

The Constant Gardener was one of the few movies I actually bothered to go to the cinema and see.
One of the extremely few I bothered going to the cinema TWICE for.
I suppose one might say I thought it was a good movie. Yes, depressing, but a good kind of depression. The one that gets you thinking, not the one that makes you get an ice cream and forget the whole deal. Well, maybe both.
What kind of movies does she watch?
Wow, you watched it twice on the Big screen??? yeah its a nice film. I love how it all unravels up to the end hehehe.
My sister? well she likes chick flicks...most of the time
Well, the first time I wanted to watch Harry Potter and somehow wound up seeing it, and the second time I went with another friend, who had already seen Harry Potter and I suggested this one. She enjoyed it, I enjoyed it, so it was OK.
Hey. It's every girl's right to like chick flicks (does Bridget Jones qualify? Cause I somehow really like it).
