When people ask me why do I jog, I am a bit perplexed as to how they think it's the most hardest thing in the world. Yeah, I know it isn't necessarily low impact...but I always thought that the--"wind in your face" was an ample enough explanation.
I'm really fond of jogging now. Yeah, there is just something about it. Especially at night--where you can feel na it's just you and the paved road and some kick-ass playlist of power songs--there's something primal about it. Hehehe
Especially when the weather is kinda bad, when the rain starts falling, and you get double-conscious about your strides and the fear of pneumonia....
It's elemental.
One of the perfect jogging moments I had was when the drops started to fall and then my iPod started playing "Phenonomena" by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
---It was elemental.
And with jogging, you feel like you're running away from everything, for a couple of minutes. It bends space time, you create a blackhole. And you can think about anything you want--or not think about anything. It feels like you're tearing away from all the simulacra and just focusing on one simulacrum--you and the open road, under the night sky...
and the tender joints after.
